Serene Maui Sunrise Elopement

If I had to choose a favorite for time of day for a Maui beach wedding, it would be sunrise. There is just something so special about witnessing the island wake up. Not to mention, there are two major benefits to a sunrise ceremony:

  • Fewer people on the beach

  • Generally less wind (depending on the location, Maui beaches can get quite windy as the day goes on)

So, I was excited when K and M contacted me to discuss their vision for their Maui elopement. They wanted a sunrise ceremony so that they could kick the day off by saying vows, and then have the remainder of the day to celebrate and commence their Maui honeymoon.

K and M are from Canada, and they choose Maui as the place for their elopement as Maui is their “favorite place in the world”. The couple first met in high school, and then they reconnected years later. K works as a registered nurse, and M is in the Coast Guard. The couple was easy-going, kind, and clearly adored each other 💕

This South Shore, Maui beach was incredibly quiet and serene the morning of the elopement! There were only a couple of other people present the entire time that we were on the beach. It was a lovely, sunny morning.

Ho'omaika'i ana (Congratulations) on your marriage, K and M! It was an honor to be your Maui elopement photographer!
