Makena Cove, Maui Sunrise Elopement | L + J
Laura and Jacob live in San Diego, and they were so stoked to choose Maui as their elopement location! They are both ocean lovers, and they decided early on in their engagement that a beach elopement would be perfect for them. Their elopement took place during sunrise at Makena Cove on Maui’s South Shore.
I absolutely love sunrise elopements! The beaches are less crowded, the light is gorgeous, there is typically less wind, and there is something so special about starting the day by witnessing two lovers join their lives together in marriage. Laura and Jacob were the first ones on the beach that morning, although another ceremony did take place before we left the beach.
I loved meeting this sweet couple! We all share a love for the ocean, and I was stoked to learn that they enjoy surfing too! I gave some recommendations for surf spots to check out, as well as my favorite local restaurants to find a decent burger. Following their elopement, Laura and Jacob planned on eating grassfed burgers and then embarking on a snorkeling trip.
